Walldorf lies in the south of the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region, and is therefore located in Germany's seventh largest economic zone. The region's economic clout is difficult to surpass, but its cultural riches are impressive as well: more than 200 castles, palaces, and sacred buildings; 15 top festivals; more than 110 theaters; over 200 museums, and a whole host of sports events for participants of all abilities. The Odenwald and Palatinate are ideal locations for hiking and climbing, and the rolling Kraichgau is a paradise for cyclists.

What's more, spring comes earlier, fall is more golden, and winter is milder than in other parts of Germany. In the culinary style and the way of life, you can feel the influence of nearby France, and – especially in the fall, during the grape harvest – there are many festivals to visit.

You are really spoilt for choice when deciding where to live: How about Walldorf, which has an infrastructure unequalled by hardly any other municipality in Germany, thanks to the masses of trade tax it receives. Or Wiesloch, which dates back more than 1,000 years? Or one of the numerous idyllic wine-growing towns in the Kraichgau? Or perhaps beautiful Heidelberg? Or, for the more urban, Mannheim or Karlsruhe? There's something for everyone – and all within just 25 miles!
